Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Development of Client Projects – As a learned professional, routinely use advanced knowledge gained from doctoral-level education, biopharmaceutical industry experience, and professional judgment to be individually responsible for collaborating and consulting with Medical Affairs clients to develop professional-looking and rigorous scientific assets. These include mainly MSL-level slide presentations, but also standard response letters, scientific training, etc; see our brief capability overview at Success will depend on ability to align with scientific strategy, develop content flow, curate/interpret/evaluate/select medical literature, maintain content accuracy, work expertly with PowerPoint, design content layout/visualization, align to style guides – with resourcefulness and tact.
  • Peer Quality Control and Assistance – As a learned professional and based on professional judgment, efficiently review project drafts from teammates and provide helpful feedback on content and style, as well as assist team members in their projects. Success will depend on quality of timely feedback, time management skills, skill in developing client projects, and willingness to help.


  • Receive rigorous training on many aspects of developing Medical Communication tools, particularly in advanced PowerPoint and content visualization
  • Per diem position offers tremendous flexibility – accept project work only when you are available to meet the scope of the project

Minimum Requirement

  • Citizen or permanent resident of the United States, legally allowed to work in the United States
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Master of Science (US PharmD degree is preferred)
  • Intermediate PowerPoint skills, including professional-looking scientific charts and object alignment
  • Excellent content interpretation and selection skills from medical journals
  • Worked 1 of past 5 years in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology company in these capacities – Medical/Scientific Communications and/or MSL, or 1 years in a medical communications agency where the focus was in developing scientific content at the Medical Affairs level
  • Hands-on experience as a primary developer of at least 1 PowerPoint slide deck in typical Medical Communications quality, suitable to be used for HCP presentations
  • If seeking per diem arrangement, ability to take on 30+ hours a week when needed
  • If seeking part-time arrangement, 20–30 hours a week consistently
